Field Service Technician
Field Service Technician Tier 1Wisper ISP is a leading fixed wireless high-speed internet provider in the Midwest.
We are seeking a full-time non-exempt Field Service Technician to join our Field Services Department to cover our Joplin, MO and surrounding areas coverage area.
Our Field Service Technicians are the public face of Wisper by assisting our customers with Internet service, installations or repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
Our Field Service Techs work hands-on with technology, work in various environments in all weather conditions, and communicate with various internal departments in order to find solutions for our customers.
Our Field Service Technicians are provided with technology and safety training, a van, tools, and all personal protective equipment in order to provide excellent service to our customers.
Pay:
$18 - $20/hourSchedule:
Monday thru Friday 8AM to 5PM, with after hours and holidays as needed.
Weekend shift rotation.
Travel:

Essential Job Functions Perform Site Surveys to determine serviceability Install new service for customers Diagnose & troubleshoot connectivity problems during Service Visits Configure routers & customer devices as needed Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers Electronically transfer equipment to customer locations to ensure accurate tracking of equipment Keep accurate & current inventory & vehicle maintenance logs Maintain company-issued assets including tools, equipment & vehicles Provide highest level of customer experience in all interactions with customers Safely drive company vehicle while utilizing most efficient route Other related duties as directed Job Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Successful completion of industry certifications as needed(Ex:
SBCA, SAS, etc) Current valid Driver's License Ability to drive a vehicle without presenting a safety risk to self or others Ability to be added to Company auto insurance policy Regular & predictable attendance required Must be comfortable working on roofs, at varying heights & in tight spaces Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future Desired Skills & Competencies Installation experience in related field/wireless internet is highly valued Comfortable & professional working in customer homes Ability to communicate effectively & professionally with customers Willingness to think outside of the box on site locations Safety Conscious Enjoy working in all weather conditions Enjoy working with hands & learning new technology Experienced & comfortable using hand & power tools Must demonstrate personal accountability; be punctual for appointments & meetings Working Conditions Fast-paced environment with multiple changes to schedules & fluctuating priorities Work is performed primarily outdoors & in all weather conditions Work is performed at various roof-top heights & in tight spaces Physical Requirements:
