DescriptionGood Shepherd Hospice is seeking a compassionate LPN to serve our patients and families in the Joplin and surrounding communities.
The Hospice LPN makes visits to supplement the nursing care needs of our patients/families.
Full time positionPrevious experience in hospice, home health, or geriatrics preferred Key ResponsibilitiesResponding to phone calls promptlyMaking visits as necessaryCarrying out physician orders under the direction of a RNInforming the physician of changes in the patient's condition and needsCommunicating with medical professionals, the hospice team and others Maintaining accurate, up-to-date recordsElevating necessary matters to the attention of the patient care managerDemonstrating strong communication and customer service skillsSkills Knowledge and ExpertiseMinimum of one year of experience in hospice, home health or geriatric care preferred (but not required for the right candidate) Must be of high integrity including maintenance of confidential information including all patient records Works as a team player, following directions and adhering to defined care plans Demonstrated commitment to the hospice philosophy of careCan successfully pass background checks LPN-graduate of an accredited LPN programCurrent state license as a Licensed Practical NurseValid driver's licenseBenefitsPaid Holidays Health, Dental and Life Insurance 401K Investment Plan with employer matching program 5 Weeks Paid time off based off hours accrued Mileage Reimbursement Education Fund About the Company:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
