Position Description:
This is an entry-level accounting position intended to assist the Plant Controller carry
ut basic responsibilities and develop the incumbent for future growth opportunities
within the corporation. Cost center accounting, planning, forecasting, and budgeting areall important in this role. In addition, this person will be the LAN coordinator working
closely with corporate IT.
Key
Responsibilities:
Review and reclassify primary costs as needed, and update SAP actual costing rates
n a monthly basis
Prepare and review allocations and assessments of indirect costs and extrapolate
the impact on labor and overhead rates
Support operations through driving accuracy in departmental coding and cost
center structure in accordance with company global costing policy
Assist the Plant Controller with the migration of the plant budget to SAP cost
system
Review and challenge plan rates and cost estimates as appropriate
Develop and maintain systems and procedures to support the ongoing preparation
f packaging estimates, and return estimate requests to corporate in a timely
mannerExecute costing process on all new product releases and for any changes to existingparts
Leverage MOS practices to standardize, streamline and eliminate waste in critical
financial processes and identify cost saving opportunities
Participate in special projects as needed

Position Requirements:
Strong analytical skills, and ability to drive continuous improvement
Excellent interpersonal skills allowing them to work closely with the business unit
teams they support
Good organization and planning skills to manage multiple priorities
Intermediate SAP experience desirable
Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
3-5 years of accounting experience in a lean, progressive, manufacturing
environment.
This position requires someone that can handle the daily crisis managementassociated with a dynamic, competitive environment.Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in AccountingThe C.M.A. designation is a plus.
