Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer at their corporate office in Joplin, Missouri. The Systems Engineer's role is to design, install, monitor, maintain and performance tune production infrastructure server systems while ensuring high levels of availability. This individual is also responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing server/system policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of servers and their associated applications/systems software.

Successful candidates must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
Support a multi-site Microsoft Exchange organization in order to meet and maintain appropriate service levels.
Administer and support Active Directory, DNS & Microsoft Exchange replication.
Responsible for planning, testing, tuning, configuration and setup of Microsoft Exchange architecture as well as supporting common email applications (Outlook, OWA, Blackberry based email).
Manage the appropriate setup of applications hosted via Microsoft Exchange or reliant upon Microsoft Exchange. This includes, but is not limited to: Blackberry, iOS and Android based mobile devices.
Maintain appropriate documentation on the Microsoft Windows and Exchange server environments.
Provide a point of escalation and support to the Help Desk services team.
Provide 24/7 on-call support for server environments.
Participate in weekend maintenance activities, as required.
Perform general system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment.
Monitor Microsoft Windows Server systems and troubleshoot issues as necessary.
Support, maintain and administer third party server applications.
Produce appropriate documentation for application deployment, configuration and related processes.
Work as a technical resource on assigned projects.
Install, configure and maintain server operating systems and repair server hardware, as necessary.
Manage network system backups and provide a comprehensive disaster recovery plan for server services.
Limited travel will be required to remote facilities for hardware deployments and system upgrades.
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing and response.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on all hardware on a routine and scheduled basis.
Position is expansive and additional responsibilities can be added.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years working experience and intimate proficiency with Microsoft Exchange 2003
administration and troubleshooting in a multi-site environment.
Minimum of 5 years working experience and expert knowledge of Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.
On-call including weekend availability as needed.
Exchange 2003 to 2007/2010 migration experience.
Minimum of 5 years working experience supporting, maintaining and administering core Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2003+.
Minimum of 3 years working experience supporting, maintaining and administering VMware ESX technologies.
Sound working knowledge of Internet/Intranet technologies including security features, network infrastructure and operations, including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP and remote access technology.
Proficient and familiar with MS Office Professional Suite, including the ability to fluently use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Working experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2012.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems, or related field; or, an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
